Background
Community and grassroots acupuncturists and organizers are lobbying for the legalization of non-acupuncturist practitioners to be able to provide the NADA treatment, which is an auricular protocol used by the Black Panthers and Young Lords in the 1970s to detox marginalized communities off of drugs. It is used to treat mental health issues, trauma, and addiction. Passing this bill essentially means folks can be trained on the protocol to serve marginalized communities without going through 6-8+ years of acupuncture (medical) school, meaning more people will be able to provide this treatment to those who need it!
We need support! Below is information about NADA and how you can help.
Here is more information about the protocol.
